The animal doctor didn’t tell Ben anything else about the mysterious phone call. She just said to him that Felicia now needed to rest before she could finally give birth. All he could do was do as she instructed and give his consent. Heading back into the house, he heard a wailing noise approaching the property.
It sounded like police sirens, and the authorities were approaching his ranch. Ben wasn’t sure why the cops should be heading his way, but he soon realized that the doctor had contacted them. Why would she need the police, and what could it have to do with Felicia’s condition? Ben began to panic.
