Had he broken the law? Were they detaining him for neglect? Within minutes of answering the police’s questions, he was thinking of all these things and more. Ben was nearly on the verge of feeling guilty before reassuring himself that nothing was amiss.
He tried his best to provide the police with clear and concise answers, despite his uneasy feeling. He reassured himself that it was routine. They questioned Ben about himself and the horse he had owned since he was a young child. After he had answered all their questions, the vet emerged and exclaimed, “I can’t believe this.”
